I bought my HP and it doesn't have the TV tuner card, although I see all
the 'later' models do have it...
Anyway, I have Vista Home Premium, and was thinking about adding a
Win TV card of some kind.
Anyway, I was looking at the Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-150, which seems
to be a pretty solid product and is reasonably priced.

I've also seen that there seems to be decent software for the thing from
the Haupphauge web site.
I'm not looking for serious wiz-bang capabilities, but more for just the
capability to take all my VHS and Beta-HiFi tapes and put them on
DVD, as well as some of the 8MM camcorder tapes.
I have a USB CameraMate, and it's really terrible in Vista. I can't get
it's
sound to work, and when I use the RealTek sound, it 'echos' if the
CamerMate drivers are installed. (The video actually looks ok though)
Support the CameraMate is non-existent, and I'd never recommend it
to anyone else, ever. Well, that's not true. It was OK under Win2K.
But it's now an orphan to be avoided.
I also have access to a Dazzle 80, but I don't know if it will be any
better.
Any recommendations?
Mike
