John, thank you.
I went to the site you suggested. Whereas you answered the question, I am
confused. By the way, I am not a computer person.I am very wary of moving
away from WINDOWS UPDATE and I have the following questions. If you have time
to reply I will be grateful.
1. In your " site " , Microsoft recommends that I use WINDOWS UPDATE and not
the Microsoft Download Centre. I believe that it said that I had to do "
extra " things! It did not seem straight forward.
Why should I use?
2. Microsoft Technet says that it is for Resources for the IT Professional.
I am not a IT Pro! Am I correct in being wary?
3. Am I being optimistic in thinking we should get the Windows Update
working properly? Is there no solution to the Windows Update?
