Win-XP, Cumulative security update installation failure

I am using Win-XP Home, SP2 installed.
The cumulative security updates automatically downloaded by system won't
install.


The updates and respective error codes are:
Update: KB886185;

The cumulative security updates automatically downloaded by system won't
install.
The updates and respective error codes are:
- Update: KB886185, error code: 0x80070003
- Update: KB867282, error code: 0x80070003

I am using WIN-XP, Home, SP2 installed, Norton anti virus s/w and the only
firewall used is the one from Microsoft itself.
The system tries to execute this automatic update every day and fails.
How can the problem be overcome ?
