I and many other have the same problem - usually due to one of the update
services NOT being started.

THE MAIN BUG HOWEVER is that it KILLS thw COM+ EVeny System - A dependency
for alot of services.

We need to find out how to re-register / install the serives - perhaps a
HOTFIX - but this is not easy to find - not yet anyway ...ANYONE know ??/

Hi,

Some have posted that registering MSXML3.DLL fixed this problem.

Register MSXML3.DLL and see if it helps:

1. Click Start.

2. Choose Run.

3. In the Run box, type (or copy/paste from this post)

%windir%\system32\regsvr32.exe %windir%\system32\MSXML3.DLL

(note the space there in the middle)

4. Click OK.

Hi,

Please try the steps in this post (creating and running the batch
file IEreg.bat):

http://groups.google.co.uk/group/mic...2?dmode=source

After running the batch file, I recommend a reboot.
