After the last Windows update, my IIS Admin won't astart. The KB articles
from the event log is less than useful. I've had trouble with the IIS Admin
service since this box was born, but had changed the start up to manual and
I could at least get it starting from the service window.... Now I can't do
that anymore. I've already scanned for viruses, there aren't any. (I'm not
using an installed anti-virus program, since I've not found a reasonable
priced one for Windows 2003 server yet.)
So all that being said, I was able to do a little work before Windows Update
did it's thing this morning, but after reboot, IIS Admin is not working.
Can't even get it to start manually any more. Since I'm an ASP.NET
developer, I REALLY need IIS!
I'm going to try getting the last patch uninstalled and see if that solves
the problem, but mostly I wanted to get this out so someone will fix it.
If anyone knows where I can submit a bug, that would be helpful. I don't
see anything on the Windows Update site.
Thx in advance,
Andrea
