Suggestions would be to move away from Microsoft servers.
These updates causing problems are really getting rediculous.
MS needs a better solution. I want a box that gets updates which I
can unplug should there be a problem.
I need to install the same patch, and figured i'd check to see how
many people got burned before I installed it. Your comment was the
only one I noticed about the new patch, period.
I don't have another server to use should this one crash due to the
update, and I have plenty of people depending on it.
Should I bother to install this update? Windows update detects two
updates: Internet Explorer 6 update & KB891861
We only use IE to do Windows updates, and have left the server with IE
5 that came with it.
All other updates have been installed. If this update is really all
of the previous ones, then I wouldn't think i'd need to install it.
If I were to Install IE, then i'd be burdened by constantly having to
install critical updates which they come out with way too often.
Every time I have to install them I have to worry about it the server
is going to crash, so i'd rather not have to do it more than
necessary.
Does everyone on here still agree that it's safe to have a server
without IE 6 if your not surfing the web on the system?
