Win2K SP4 WinUpdate Problems....

After reinstalling Win2k, and then going through WinUpdate to install SP4, I
can no longer run the windows updates....
Running 5.00.2195, and cannot update to new version of Update.
I found this error in the event viewer:
"The COM+ Event System detected a corrupt IEventSubscription object. The
COM+ Event System has removed object ID
{2F519218-754D-4CFE-8DAA-5215CD0DE0EB}. The subscriber will no longer be
notified when the event occurs."

The winupdate log shows the following:

"FATAL: CreateObject for Microsoft.Update.ServiceManager failed: error
0x800401f3"
There are numerous version issues with several of the dll's
(cdm,iuengine,wuapi,wuauclt,wuauclt1,......), but, I cannot get the
registration process to work for these. I think the last download package
must have corrupted somehow....but do not know how to fix. Any thoughts or
insight would be most appreciated. (I didn't find anything in any of the
knowledgde bases that seems to match this exactly).

OK here is what you do it worked for me and i am right now updating m
pc but after a couple of days of fighting with this and nothing workin
i have figured it out you know how everyone keeps saying to registe
certain dll files well do this type in regserv wuauserv.dll and unlik
all the others before this one should not succeed if it does you have
different problem than me but if it doesnt like i think it wont go t
your system 32 folder scroll down towards the bottom and locate thi
dll its there believe me now try and delete it and it will probably sa
cannot delete this file because it is in use so here is what you do yo
click on the file and drag it to your desktop then you reboot you
computer and before you do anything delete this dll then go to window
update and voila it will work. Let me know how everything works out fo
you!!!!! :
