Win2k Windows Update 0x800A0046 problem - Will there be a downloadable fix?

Hi,

Does anyone know if Microsoft will be providing a downloadable fix for this
0x800A0046 problem, or is it going to be like this for ever more?

I'm quite upset that we've paid a lot of money for server software, only to
have Windows Update seemingly permanently broken on a whim.

Hi,

Three different resolutions for the 0x800A0046 error code listed here:

Note that if you in method 1 remove the user account from any groups,
you will need to log off and on again.

For method 2, note that SC.exe doesn't come builtin with Win2k. You can
download it from here:
ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/reskit/win2000/
