I can't answer why not. You would need to ask Microsoft. There are probably
Win7 groups in general Usenet. Right now MS is only hosting web forums.

Ok, thanks for the links. I searched all groups for Win7 and Windows7
and came up empty.

Yea, I guess so. I have mine pre-ordered but am running Win7 RC on my
other PC full time seeing as it is good until March 2010 anyway. I won't
even bother installing my Win7 copy until the RC expires.

There is quite a slew of forums for Windows 7 -- search the term "Windows 7
forums" to come up with several.

There are no plans for a Microsoft Windows 7 Newsgroup. All public
support discussions will be in the form of moderated forums.

That should shutdown the juveniles that have been using this group as
their personal playground.

I see nothing there that says there will be no Usenet newsgroups.
