Up to a couple of months ago my laptop was able to d/load updates with no
problem. Suddenly I now find that this critical update just freezes at the
dialog window. I have tried MS suggestions to fix this, but none of the 3
"freeze" suggestions from this page work:

Suggestion 1: Runs but doesn't solve the problem,
Suggestion 2: Have wrong version of DISPEX.DLL, but cannot locate file
"Scren56.cab" to fix, despite reloading IE6+SP1 as instructed.
Suggestion 3: Running "MCREPAIR.EXE" no help.
Anyone have any other fixes? (that work!).
