I'm really new to the internet so this question might seem real laughable to
some. I installed win98 games to my pc from the Win98 updates page and
everything seemed to work , the install and download. However I went to look
for it on my desktop and elsewhere (even in the add & remove programs) and
just don't see it. So I restarted my pc but still nothing. What gives?

From the update page? Did you click Start > Programs > Games? Are the games
listed in there? If not then what did you download? Could they have been
just updates to the game?

Oddly - a bit of history for you or urban legend perhaps - it's been said
that the development of games is due to a desire to test the OS in various
ways from mathmatical computations (generation of a random number) to
graphics abilities. I have no idea how true that is or not but it makes a
great deal of sense as the games are generally not "that good" but all use
some sort of basic computational figures such as random.

Thanks Galen - I did check that spot first but I guess I didn't see it - it
was the last item on the list. I guess I was a little hasty in assuming it
was missing. By the way what is the "OS" and why would I want to test it
(lol) ?
