Windos Updates Error

Hi, I've started with a new problem trying to download updates on Vista
Ultimate.

Vista downloaded 2, but refused to download the other 2.
Came up with error no: 800700b

I've tried the Command using fsutil resource setautoreset true C:\. but it
comes up:
"I need permission to alter FSUTIL".

I changed permission, but the error no still comes up and no downloading of
updates.

Should I open a new updates folder? If so, I'm afraid I've forgotten how to
do that.

Can anyone help please? ( I've had to reinstall Vista after a dodgy
software, but cleaned everything out before reinstalling Vista. No problems
with anything else.)

Hello beegeebopper,

Start a free Windows Update support incident request:

<https://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?gprid=6527>

I'd recommend calling 1-866-pcsafety if you are in the U.S. or Canada.
Elsewhere, call your local Microsoft subsidiary, or the number for paid
support in your locale--and ask for the free help with virus or
security-patch related issues. This help extends to spyware removal as well.

If you /clearly/ state that a specific update has caused problems and don't
ask any other questions, you /should/ receive No Charge support for the
issue.

Good luck
