Window animations

Sorry to bump this question but I didnt get an answer to my last post which
offered a solution.

My problem is that I have Vista Home Basic. I dont have any
minimise/maximise window animations at all (i'm not on about aero
animations), eg. the old style flicker minimise/maximise effect or what I
thought I used to have - where it faded in/out.

Please again can someone verify if Vista Home basic does in fact have window
animations for minimise/maximise effects.

What I have done already to try to solve this problem:

Verified in System properties that the checkbox for window animations is
checked. The specs on my machine is enough to support all visuals, easily.
I've even tried restarting the desktop manager service to see if that helped,
it didn't.

Thanks for any input you may have to offer, in advance.
Adam

No, not all Visual Effects and animations are supported under Windows Vista
Home Basic.
