Window Focus bug

Vista often looses track of which window should have focus - so that if
you're using the keyboard & despite message box having focus you can't type
in it - you have to go back to mouse and click on the window

Any fixes for this on the horizon? It does my head in

Can't say that I have run across that problem with Vista at all. Is there a
particular app that this happens in, or does it vary?

I agree with Dark Sentinel. This does not happen with me at all. I have
gone hours without Vista losing focus on anything. So there has to be
something on your setup that is causing this issue.

The OP and you are both right in a weird way. Vista NEVER loses the focus.
But it does happens to me. Certain things we do not register in our mind
because they is very routine. It appears that your focus is supposed to be
on the editor but you've already clicked something else and do not even
remember this. Of cause, OP does not understand it. Everyone blames Vista.

alexB is not being helpful !

I have this problem right now and need to either wait for this windo
to re-focus about every 15 seconds or so or waste time moving the I ba
back here and clicking for focus.

Might not be vista but it sure as hell is annoying.

I've tried varies monitoring apps to no avail ~ somewhere else someon
found that it was irftp.exe doing the damage but not so here.

So something is stealing the focus every 15 seconds or so and 5 second
later returns the focus to the work area.

Anyone with any other ideas that might assist here

Remove wherever it is you installed just before the problem began to occur.

I know you will not think this helpful but there is no easier way that I am
aware of. I once spent three days selectively uninstalling programs and
utilities until I found the 2 programs that were in conflict. Then I
reinstalled all but that program and all was well.
