Hi -
Just in the past week or so, Vista doesn't remember where I place windows
(e.g. games explorer, work folder I use, windows update). I've seen posts
about registry tweaks for BagMRU Size settings and I up'd them to 10000.
Still doesn't work. Anyone else experiencing this?

thanks,
Glenn

This is a somewhat elusive issue. Some people experience it with Vista
and other's do not. I have one Vista setup that NEVER loses the size &
placement/view settings. On a notebook with Vista it seems to always
reset settings ( particularly Control Panel ). The BagMRU size and Bags
Registry change doesn't appear to resolve it. Likely it's some combination
of settings or application interactions that causes it. The problem for me
is I've never been able to resolve it or find the cause. But to answer your
question yes it's a known or documented issue with Vista.

Thanks for the quick response... I've been running Vista for well over a year
and it just recently started doing this - I'll be darned if I can remember
any changes made that could cause it. Hopefully MS will find/fix the
problem. It's not an earth-shattering thing, but an annoyance and something
that seems so trivial to NOT have happen.
