Window Vista - Can't log into safe mode

I was deleting some stuff and accidentally deleted the wrong stuff.

Now, there is a huge problem and I can't log into the windows.

It says there is a server processor error and for more information
visit the event log.

Because of this I clicked F8 (can succesfully view it) and tried to log
into safe mode.

Fail - So I tried every type of safe mode there was.

I was browsing and tried different methods and none of them worked.

I arrived a tread here about the window vista startup repair using the
cd that came with the computer when I bought it.

I put the cd in and nothing happens, it just boots normally.

For some reason, I am not even getting the error message (processor
error) that I used to and just have a black screen.

How do I start the startup repair?

There is some music files and schoolwork files I want to collect. Even
if I can't repair it I am ready to loose my data and do a complete
system reinstall.

So can someone tell me how to do this? The problem is that the I can't
even reinstall using the cd.

Please Help.

Thank you.

To boot from the DVD, you need to set your BIOS to boot from the DVD
first. If you don't know how to get into the BIOS, look for an F key or
Del when the computer first boots up that says "set up". Usually it's
either F2 or Del. You must press this key as soon as you see the white
writing on a black background right after turning the computer on. Once
in the BIOS, look around for Boot Order.

You can remove the drive from the computer and install it as a slave
drive in another working computer to retrieve your data. Be sure and
change the jumpers on the hard drive from Master to Slave. I would do
this before trying a repair install.

If the above is gobbledygook to you, take the computer to a reliable
shop (not Big Store, USA).

Thank you so much for the reply.

The second one sounded complete gook for me so I am just going t
repair it anywaz.

I did go into this F2 part before and closed it cause I dind't kno
what it was.

Now I was moving through it and finally got to the boot device priorit
part.
I hope this is what you are talking about.

This is the order:

1. AHCI CD
2. AHCI HDD
3. USB key
4. USB CD
5. USB FDD
6. USB HDD
7. PCI BEV
8.

Excluded from boot order
- IDE HDD
- IDE CD
-PCI SCSI
-USB Zip
- USB LS120

Can you sepcify which ones to move and changhe? (if this is what yo
are talking about

Your setup looks OK for booting from a CD.

When you turn your computer on, the screen will flash a logo before starting
Windows. This is where you enter the system BIOS. Usually it's F2 or Del,
but the screen will show the options somewhere (along the bottom or top of
the screen). Once you're in, use the right/left arrows to get to the Boot
menu and make your changes accordingly.
