windows 09 shutdown

after i shutdown from the start menu, after about 5 or 6 min. the comp.
starts running again. it doesnt start completly but i can tell its running.
ive heard theres a patch from ms that may help. can anyone help?

What OS version?
Are you fully patched with all Windows Updates?
What do you mean by "it doesn't start completely" ?

>it doesnt turn the monitor on but the light at the cd slot blinks and the noise is louder. is there an address for a fix?
