Windows 2000 can't store passwords

My windows 2000 does not store passwords when prompted. It will also not
remember to stop showing start up program messages when requested to do so.
It will also not remember passwords to e-mail accounts for Outlook Express.
Any suggestions?

Hi - this is a group for Windows Update issues. You'd be best off posting
Win2k questions in m.p.win2000.* (and be more specific about what "start up
program messages" means) - and OE questions in the appropriate OE group:

microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlooke xpress for OE 5.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlook express for OE 5.5x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlooke xpress for OE 6.x
