I'm running windows 2000 sp4. Having an issue with windows update. I can't
download the updates from windowsupdate.microsoft.com. The install starts,
however as they are installing a dialog box appears stating that it can't
copy the file from g:\fhd938393-234kldsdf89\(<- this is the temp directory
created by the unpacked security update). I'm then prompted to retry /
cancel or browse for the file. If I click browse the file is there. Retry
doesn't do anything. If I copy the file in question to another location and
browse / retry the install completes normally. The weird thing is there
isn't anything noted in the windows update.log file, unless unless I cancel
theinstall of course. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

This drive G. Is it a NTFS volume?

If so do you have enough permission on this drive to save files?

How much disk space is available on this drive
