Windows 2000 update troubles..

Hello,

At work, one of the machines that I administer was using automatic
updates. Suddenly the rules for my password have changed and I can no
longer set the standard network-wide passwords for certian users.

Who do I kill?

(Or in other words, what update do I uninstall?)
