Last update I have 59 HotFixes for Windows 2000.

The last one took 50 MB. They are chewing up my disk space like crazy. If 50
is the average size, that's 3GB in fixes !

Any hints to chop back on this?

Well that what happens when you do not Update for a long time and regularly. I had only 3 on my Win2K system this week.

If the updates are working satisfactorily, then delete their
uninstall folders. This should half the added disk space being
consumed.

Peter,
You miss the point.
I DO update regularly. Checking through the program files manager I have 59
Hotfixes listed. My point is, over time if each of these is using in the
realms of 50 MB, hey presto, 3GB gone in freespace.

If you had 3 last week, how much space have they used. Try checking through
programs and see how they stack up...and chew up your freespace.

I (hopefully) asked this same question just now (earlier). Browsing, there
was a vbScript offered (for more network duties).

But is just "deleting" these folders the recommended way to dispose? (and
what about corresponding Add/Remove items? I have in past, deleted, then
Add/Remove item would complain files are gone and deletes itself, but always
seems odd).

Also, that nothing about this in FAQ, etc...
