Since it's a Dell OEM pre-install server, it /must/ be installed with OEM
licensed media.
Unless Dell is including RTM media in these kits.... it's not an option.
Unless James' employer wants to kick up the funds for a /retail/ copy of
WinServer2003 sans service pack (assuming one is even available in the channel
anymore).
The /best/ fix is to find out from the software vendor why their package is
not compatible with a SERVICE PACK, and then jump up and down on their
doorstep until they give you a FREE fix.
The next best fix is to demand a refund for the product, and buy the
equivalent application from a vendor that /can/ produce working applications.
