Windows 2003 Server Standard SP2 install problems

I am trying to update my Windows 2003 Server Standard edition with Service
Pack 2. It currently has Service Pack 1 installed. The install fails when I
try to use the Windows Update site and then comes up with the error code
0x80242000.

Interesting error -
0x80242000
-2145116160
SUS_E_UH_REMOTEUNAVAILABLE
The caller requested a remote object, but no remote process is available

See if you can manually install the full file?

Thanks for the reply.

I've just tried installing the update, it extracts all the files, but when
it has finished it then just disappears and deletes the temporary folder it
creates. It does not start the actual installation part. I've had a look in
Task Manager and the process does not stay there after the extraction, so it
is not a hanging process. I have rebooted my server and tried again, without
luck.

Any ideas?
BTW, just so you know, I have a 32 bit server, so I downloaded the 32 bit
Service Pack.

Trying to use the Windows Update when WSUS is installed also. ??? Uninstall WSUS if not using it to apply updates to multiple computers on Network. Your error 0x80242000 will be solved
