Hello,
Yesterday I installed service pack 1 onto a Windows 2003 Standard edition
server.
It seemed to install ok, and rebooted OK. There are some startup issues
with some of the installed software, but otherwise everything seemed to go OK.
Today I am trying to finish the rest of the available updates (about 25).
The update page will find the updates required, and start to do the update,
but it never gets past "Preparing for download"… Automatic updates was also
enabled with the download and notify option. I tried to do the installs
through there, and it initializes, and then just sits there doing nothing
forever.
I've tried turning off automatic updates, and gong back in manually and that
has had no effect.
I’ve looked at the WindowsUpdate.log and there are the following entries at
the end of the log when I exit and can’t find any references to error code
listed.
COMAPI - WARNING: Download call aborted
COMAPI - WARNING: Exit code = 0x80240FFF; Call error code = 0x8024000B
I’ve also turned off all of the Anti-Virus services off on this system and
that has not had any effect.
Thanks in advance.
