Good Day,
I have setup a Windows 2003R2 SP2 server and will be installing FTP software
on said system. We have a domain called XYZ and I made this new system as a
work group on XYP the reason for this was to allow our PC on the domain to
see this one server on the workgroup. This server has two drives C and D
drive C has the OS and Drive D has a directory called Data. I then created
three uses with the same user names and login information as the people on
our domain so that they match up. I then created a group called FTP users.
I then shared the directory and allowed all access and added the ftp group.
Then I added the group to rigts section with full access. When I go to
Network places I see FTP server and when I click on it I get the following
error
\\FTP is not acessble. You might not have permission to use the network
resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have
access permissions. The network path was not found
I have also tried mapping to said network share with simlar error
I am expecting at least to get a login to allow us to gain access.
I am not sure what I am doing wrong in this case. the desktops are Windows
XP SP2 with IE8.
Any help would be appreciated
Thank You
Adam Raff
