I currently have a two nodeWidows 2008 Cluster that has only print services
as a service. It has 2 cluster disks - one for the witness and one for the
print services.

Is there any issues with now adding file services to the cluster? Does it
have to be separate disk? Should it be separate disk

It is a best practice to keep all of your workloads (services/applications)
in separate groups. Each group should have its own disk resource and client
access point (network name/IP address).

It is possible to add a file server resource to your existing print server
service group. The only real issue with doing this is that a failure of the
print services affects your file server and visa versa. For highest
availablity, you should keep these separated.

John

I currently have 7 luns on one file server. What would be the best way to
move these 7 luns to a cluster? Can I just assign the 7 disks to available
storage. Do you need a witness disk for each of the 7 luns or one witness
per cluster?

Yes, you assign the LUNs to the Available Storage group and then create the
Applications/Services as needed.

You can only have 1 Witness disk per cluster.
