Hi,

I am running windows 2003 AD and now have introduecd windows 2008 sp 1 as
additional domain controller. There after I transferred all FSMO roles to
windows 2008.

But my windows 2008 dns unable to resovle partucular one domain (xxx.xx.xx)
only while test with nslookup. The nslookup to all other domain gives success.

While windows 2003 dns able to resovle that DNS (xxx.xx.xx) easily.

Did you configure a forwarder on 2008? Is a forwarder configured on 2003?

Hello Neeraj,

What kind of DNS zones are you using? Please post an unedited ipconfig /all
from the new and one functioning DC/DNS server. Also a nslookup output from
the new and a running server can be helpful.

Best regards

Sorry for the blank post. I must have accidentally deleted my response.

What I wanted to ask, is do you have a forwarder configured on your new DNS?
How about the 2003 DNS, is a forwarder configured on that machine?

Also, responses to Meinolf's request will be helpful towards a diagnosis.

Thanks,

Ace
