Windows 2k3 Program Problem

We recently upgraded our 2k3 web edition server to service pack 1, and we
cannot run some of our VB6 programs.

They are supposed to download items from a another company's database using
ftp. They were working correctly before we updated to SP1, but now they run
for about an hour and just stop. They do not have an error message, nor do
they say they are not responding. They just sit there, utilizing no cpu usage
(before they used atleast some usage while they were working), and the new
items are never downloaded like they should be.

Any one know what is happening? We updated to SP1 for security reasons. If
we uninstall SP1, will that help make our programs work again? or is there a
fix for SP1 to allow our programs to run?

Any help would be appreciated.
