Windows 3.11 as host on VPC2004

Has anyone got WFW 3.11 working as a host in VPC 2004? It worked fine under
5.2, of course. MS-DOS 6.22 installs fine, as do the DOS additions. The
installation of 3.11 also appears to complete successfully and when you
reboot DOS appears as normal. When you run win.exe, however, it goes belly
up and sits frozen at the c: prompt. Has support for 3.11 been removed?

You mean as a guest surely?

Anyway, the problem seems to be the dos additions. I had the same trouble
until I completely removed all trace of the dos additions, and now WfW 3.11
works ok - but without any of the advantages from the additions package.

Some of the functionality within the old DOS Additions broke because of
changes we made for security reasons. The old DOS Additions continue to work
fine in real mode, but when they're running with EMM386, a DOS Extender,
Windows 3.1 or other protected-mode environments, they do not work as
expected.
