Windows 7 and Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-500 MC

Hey Guys,

Does anybody know if my Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-500 MC TV-Card will work with
Windows 7.
It is 2 or 3 years old, but works well with Windows Vista.

If it works in Vista, it should also work in Windows 7.
Windows 7 is built on the same core as Vista.

You may need to download a driver from the Hauppauge Web site.

I assume you are in the United States, since that is an Analog Card.

There are not many TV stations on analog since the Digital change over.
There may be some low power stations on the air.

If you have cable, It may work if the cable company is still using
analog signals.

I have a Hauppauge 150 card which has the same analog tuner as the 500 and
it works just fine getting all of my cable systems analog channels using Win
7 RTM 32 bit HP.

It will work with 32 Bit version but with 64-bit version it's limited to
less than 4GB of memory.

Mine worked. Had an issue with the IR transceiver working. Looked fine in
device manager, but wouldn't work when setting up TV with cable box. Found
out that if you plug in two transceivers in the IR Blaster, it works. then
you can unplug one and you are on your way.
