So far, I have read that Windows 7 will be available to OEMs by the
holiday season this year 2009. Anybody else have a better guess?
Thanks.

A release candidate may be revealed mid April

After the Vista sales fiasco, I am sure they will push it out for Xmas,
ready or not.

In the meantime, you can get what Windows 7 is trying to imitate now:

I guess it will be generally available shortly after Microsoft announces the
"Release to Manufacturing" code has been completed.

Windows 7 will become available when Microsoft makes a formal announcement.

Have you always thought that money makes you special? And have you
always thought that poor people are beneath you? I guess you think that
all the companies that are going belly up are beneath you, eh what?

You are about the lowest low life I have ever met on the Net.

Nobody wants to use Ubuntu while they are waiting for Windows 7. If they
are using XP or Vista, they already have SOFTWARE that runs under Windows.
Why would they want to ditch that to run an INFERIOR OS written by geeks for
geeks? Doesn't make sense except for the linux retard fanboys in the WRONG
FORUM.

Imagine, Ubuntu is FREE and NOBODY wants it. Ubuntu has been free for years
and still is on less than ONE PERCENT of the desktop. That should tell you
all you need to know about that crappy OS.

Alias loves it because he doesn't do any computing so even a CRAPPY OS will
be OK for alias. For others who need to do real work, they need a real OS.

Get over it Alias. Now go smoke a bowl.
