Hello everyone,

I started installing windows 7 today by mounting the image in virtual drive.
I constantly get an error message stating that

"Windows cannot copy files required for installation. The files may be
corrupt or missing. Make sure all files required for installation are
available, and restart the installation. Error code: 0x80070241"

I tried using both power ISO and Ultra ISO for mounting.
I did not want to burn an new DVD for a BETA version .
Any suggestions for installing?

Regards

Jagannath

Yeah, MS wants to make sure they can censor you.

You can copy the files to a flash drive and run the setup from the flash
drive.
I followed the instructions below to install Win 7 on a laptop running XP,
and a desktop as well.
You run the setup from within windows.

From: Installing Win7 using a USB Stick | Media | TechNet Edge

The steps for preparing the USB Disk.

1. Diskpart
2. List Disk
3. Select Disk 1 $Replace 1 with number reflecting your USB Drive$
4. clean
5. create partition primary
6. active
7. format fs=fat32 quick
8. assign

Now, a drive letter reflecting the drive should appear. Copy the bits from
the DVD to the USB Stick.
If you get errors along the way, simply remove the drive and repeat the
process.

No, not for posting issues. MS censors Alias for being an Ubuntu jack-ass
trying to shove Ubuntu down our throats. Everyone knows that Ubuntu is a
piece of **** OS that nobody wants.

Not a question about censoring. It is a question that help can be achieved much
faster and much more accurately from the Beta group of Windows 7 since others there
have already experienced this issue and have found a way to correct it

I got that message the first time I tried it too because The download
was bad. Redownload it and try again. That's what worked for me.
