Are you certain the Gateway disks actually performed a clean install(wipe the drive, reinstall Vista) ?
Did you attempt to install WLM before upgrading to Windows 7 or after ?
Yes, autumn 2009 would be after the last(latest Aug 2009) version was made available for download ?
Have you seen an earlier post/comment from Peter R..."The Uninstaller/Repairer is located at C:\Program Files\Windows
Live\Installer\wlarp.exe" and attempted to run wlarp.exe ?
Have you seen this ?
It was written primarily for 2008 version but still applicable.
