Has anyone got ERUNT autobackup to work with Win7 x64? ERUNT will backup
the registry manually but not automatically at startup. I have selected 'as
administrator' and WINXP mode but no luck. Is there a solution? Did
autobackup work with Vista x64? I gave Vista a miss.

I don't know about Win 7 x64, but creating a task to do it works OK on Win 7 x86.
Create a basic task to run Autoback.exe with all the switches, change the user from
you to ' system ', select ' Run with highest privileges ' and configure for 'Windows 7'
(If you want it I'll post step by step info.)

Thanks for your response. I would appreciate more info. I am unsure what
is meant by a .basic task'

To create the task:
Control Panel > System & Security > Admin Tools > Schedule task.
Actions (on the right pane) > Create basic task.
Name > Whatever you want.
Description > Whatever you want.
Next.
Trigger > When computer starts.
Next.
Action > Start a program.
Next.
Program/Script > Browse to c:\Program Files\Erunt\Autoback.exe.
Open.
Add arguments > %systemroot%\erdnt\autobackup\#date# /noconfirmdelete /noprogresswindow /days:5

(Note the spaces before the ' / ' . Also the ' /days:' switch is optional, no switch = 30 days ).
(Easiest to copy/paste above line, edit days as required)

Select ' Open the Properties dialog for this task when I click finish ' .

Finish

Security Options
Change User or Group: enter ' system '.
Select ' Run with highest privileges '.
Configure for: Windows 7

To check it all works reboot and navigate to :
c:\windows\erdnt\autobackup\
and there should be a folder with today's date.
Good luck.

You can easily check by advancing the date a day forward and rebooting.
