Windows 7_RC update lost cursors

automatic update on 27th May 2009. When the updates were installing the
cursor did not draw you could eventually see where it was.
system Dell D620 2gb ram,
During the update I was running BBC iPlayer (streaming)

Restart brought it back but it was back to the dos days with keyboard
shortcuts to close everything down
