Yes. You'll need to purchase a "Retail Upgrade Version"
of Windows XP. Read the following:

Yes you can. First, back up all your files, photos, music, letters ect.
Make sure you have enough room on your hard drive. Purchase the windows xp
home upgrade.

I tryied installing XP. I currently have 98. I did the advisory and
uninstalled Norton 2003 as recommended. I had dynamic upgrade going and it
made a connection with Microsoft and appeared to retrieve some type of
information. It did not automatically disconnect after the update, so I
manually cancelled the connection. I then selected continue with upgrade.
It ran for about 1 min and gave the following fatal error message:

Setup cannot continue. Contact Microsoft Technical Support. [Error: 465FF5Ch]

I can not find anything in Microsoft Support looking for that error #.

Can someone tell me how to get the install to work?

I thank you in advance!
