Last week I bought a new computer:

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6320 @ 1.86GHz
2.00 GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT
Desktop Performance for Windows Aero is 5.9
Windows Experience Index base score of 5.0

Color is on 32bit
Frames per second is on 60
Theme is Windows Vista
Version is Windows Vista Home Premium

Any idea why I don't get the option to choose for Windows Vista Aero under
appearance settings.

There is no reason you shouldn't with that video card. Did you change any
settings that affect the video card?
