I go to the windows update or microsoft update and asks me if i want express
or custom instalation. Both options takes me to the "Checks for the latest
updates for your computer page".

Then I receive this: "Files required to use Microsoft Update are no longer
registered or installed on your computer. To continue:

Register or reinstall the files for me now (Recommended)
Let me read about more steps that might be required to solve the problem"

I continue to try register or reinstall and same happens: always need to
register or reinstall the files....can't see nothing else.

I have windows XP home edition. Thank You in advance for your help.

Hi,

Please try the steps in this post (creating and running the batch
file IEreg.bat):

http://groups.google.co.uk/group/mic...2?dmode=source

After running the batch file, I recommend a reboot.

Try running this command in the Start / Run line: regsvr32 MSXML3.dll
worked for me
