Greetings,
I'm a bit confused with your message in that, I'm not sure if you're actually trying using
Yahoo Messenger yet or not. The integration Yahoo Messenger has with Live Messenger does not
support webcams at this time, so you can't do it that way. Also, assuming they're using OS X
on their Macbook (as opposed to Windows), the Messenger client that supports OS X, does not
support webcams' viewing or receiving (except in corporate networks over Office
Communications Server, but that doesn't apply to you).
Obviously any problems with Yahoo we can't help out with here, but another solution would be
for you to use AIM (
http://www.aim.com) and for her to use iChat on her Mac, which are also
both compatible webcam-wise.
