Windows Auto Update

I am notified in the sheild on the task bar that update are waiting
installation. I open the icon and get into the installation window. It DOES
NOT install any updates and gives a message of failed installs.

Can anyone please hedlp, thank you

Could you supply some information on what your OS is, firewall, anti-virus,
other RTP programs, etc?

What error do you see in "%Windir%\WindowsUpdate.log". Please post your
windowsupdate.log file here. (last 60 lines would be enough).

I'm having the same problem and have had it for weeks. The Updater says I
need a 0 MB update that will take 0 mins to install. It's a Service Pack 1
update, which is odd since I have XP Service Pack 2. It's called:
Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 1.1 Service Pack 1
(KB928366)
As for the rest, I have Trend anti-virus and use Windows Firewall.
