Windows Automatic Updates 10/24/07

When the automatic updates occurred on 10/24/07, it deleted all but 2
contacts in my contact list. How do I get my list of contacts back?

There were no critical updates for me on this date.

Contact list - i suppose that might depend on what app you were using

Windows version? Mail Client? What list of contacts? What updates were
installed?
