Windows automatic updates keeps disabling

Hi i am using xp pro and norton Internet security 2006 every 5 minutes or so
i get a message in norton tahat automatic updates are disabled when i enable
it it just goes back after about 5 minutes.

I have the same problem on one of my three laptops; the one my daughter uses.
Can't seen to find the problem. Any ideas outthere?
