Windows Backup Error File backup failed. Access is denied 0x80070

I was able to do a successful backup to my D drive with windows backup in
august. Ever since both automatic and manual attempts to backup again error
out. The event ID is 4104 and error is 0x80070005. All the posts I see talk
about this error when using an external or DVDs. This has got to be a known
problem to Microsoft with all the posts I see. Why do we have to pay to get
this resolved? It's not something we're doing but obviously something
Microsoft has done since August. Can somebody with Microsoft please resolve
this!!
