Windows Backup, save several

I would like to be able to run Widows backup utility (Vista Home Premium)
where I could 1.) Run frequent increments on a separate partition. and 2.)
Once and a while on a separate disk (in case of system disk failure). I know
I need to manually set options when I want to switch drives. My concern is
will this "confuse" the program if/when I need to restore my data? I realize
I can only only restore from one source.

Thank you,
Ed
