One of my two Vista laptops has developped a nasty feature.
Every 15 seconds it blinks ... let me explain.
- When in Windows Explorer or Internet Explorer the address bar will be
fully selected. As if ctrl-A was pressed. Along with that the entire
window quickly blinks as if being minimized, maximized.
- Any drop-down, of the address br, or any other field on a web page
will 'roll-up' without choosing the selection. As if the escape button
is pressed.
- An application like Picasa's photoviewer will 'loose' it's full
screen mode and switch back to a windowed mode. The escape key doesn't
do that. I wouldn't even know how to do that on purpose.
I can't remember when it started, maybe it was there from the beginning
(3 months ago). Maybe when I installed Picasa or Norton 360, I can't
tell. I just know it's irritating lke hell. Making typing a URL
virtually imposible.
I've tried stopping services, killing processes, removing apps from the
tray, disabling plugins. But no luck yet.
When searching the internet I do find others with the same issue, just
described differenty each time. But never a definitive fix.

Does anyone have a good solution for this ? Preferrably a Microsoft KB
(Knowledge Base) Article with a hotfix ;-)
Thanks in advance,
Peter
