Windows calendar files

I recently lost all my non-recurring appointments in Windows Calendar. Can
someone tell me what files are associated with the Windows Calendar? Each
time I search for files, the only one that displays is the wincal.exe file.
Basically I want to know where the appointments are stored so that I can
backup the file in the future.

Thanks for any info you can provide

I know and hope a more knowledgeable poster will chime in, but I wanted to
get you pointed in the right direction. (I had the same question a couple
months ago, but no one replied.)

Anyway, think iCal, as in Internet Calendar, I believe. Search for file(s)
with the extension .ics -- something like [User Name].ics. As far as I know,
that's how Windows Calendar stores its appointment data. That's the one file
I make sure to back up (by simply exporting it within Windows Calendar).
Works every time for me.

Is that correct, everybody?

Have a decko at C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows
Calendar\Calendars

My Windows calendar data files are in there, and yes, they are ics
files. Happy huntin' :-)

Thanks for the info about the ics files. I was assuming that was the
extension but I was also hoping there was someway to recover the appointment
data. I'll know now to make copies of the .ics file. Appreciate your
responses.
