WINDOWS CAN'R UPDATE

I am using Windows Vistas Home premium and every day for the past month I
keep getting a pop up message saying windows can't update. Each time I
troubleshoot I get WindowsUpdate_C0000006_WindowsUpdate_dt000 message to
check for errors. Has anyone out there had a similar problem? Would
appreciate some feedback.
