Windows could not format a partition on disk0

I'm getting this error whilst trying to install Windows Vista X64 on m
Samsung Spinpoint F1 500GB

> preparing the partition selected for installation. Error code

I can't understand why, my other data hard disks are disconnected.
formatted the disk to begin with, but now, I can neither install the O
or format it again (with Windows).

Any ideas
