Windows could not search for new updates. - Vista

I am having a problem with Windows Update. When i go to click on the "check
for updates" button I get the message "Windows could not search for new
updates. Error found: Code 80080005"

I cant find anywhere on the knowledge database that can tell me what that
error code means and how to fix it. Can you help...thanks.
