Windows Disk Diagnostic User Resolver

Hi:

I ran Autoruns for Windows and under Task Scheduler it has Windows Disk
Diagnostic User Resolver with a Red Circle with a White X inside of it.
Image Path C:\Windows\System32\dfdwiz.exe

What concerns me most is that it is "Unticked" to autorun.

a. Should I have this item ticked to run?

b. If so what has caused it to become unticked and now apparently is not
running?

c. What are the consequences of placing a tick back beside it to enable it
to run?

In the past few days I had some erratic computer problems, but has now
seemed to have settled down.

Thanks,

ColTom2

Do you mean the "Scheduled Tasks" tab?

If so, I have the same entry with the same disabled flag, but my computer
is running fine with no problems no problems no problems no pr

Joking aside: for maximum safety, just leave it alone.

Hi Gene:

Are you saying that there is NO check beside the entry Windows Disk
Diagnostic User Resolver listed under the Scheduled Tasks Tab?

I just want to confirm because this is the only one of many listed items
that DOES NOT have a check beside it. If I had another Vista computer I
could easily tell.

Thanks,

ColTom2

Well, I hadn't checked the checkbox, so I just checked. The box is
unchecked. Honestly, I thought the red X covered that, so I was careless
:-)

I have many unchecked items in my computer's Autoruns, a significant number
of which start with the word "VAIO". I did that myself, of course.
